I don't believe I have ever seen this before -- an apple with a tan. I picked this apple up from Atkins Market the other day, with the mark of the leaf tanned right into the lovely apple. It's a Mutsu.
Belchertown is located in the heart of the Five Colleges Region of the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts. Surrounded by farms, hills, and woods, it's bordered by the Quabbin Reservoir to the east and by the Holyoke Mountains to the west. Just a short distance from Amherst, Northampton, and Springfield, it has easy access to the multiple museums, shops, restaurants, music venues, and colleges the region has to offer. What a great place to be!
